First of all, wonderful capture. What first caught my eye was the reflection of the sunset off of the boat. The color leading into the sun is very nice as well. I find the key to these kinds of shots in getting the horizon line perfectly straight which is looks like you have done. (It may be veering a little bit down to the right, but I'm thinking it's just me going crazy and I'll never be sure without some technical work).

Really, there's nothing too harsh to critique on a work like this. This situation is a once in a lifetime shot that you can't just go and duplicate at sunset again, so why would I nitpick on little things?

The only thing I notice is the noise in the sky. I don't know how your post processing was handled, but maybe it had something to do with it. I find noise to be the worst when making prints for people -- it shows up and is very distracting at times. But like I said, this is nitpicky and this shot is a wonderful capture.

Hi Michael - Thank you for your thoughts!

About the "noise in the sky" you are right ;) But there is no post-processing ;) Its only the "bad old cam" (FinePix4700 ZOOM)

Oh okay, I was going to say -- the picture looks very natural and that's what I love about it. I couldn't find any PP in the picture so great job! I can't imagine what you would be like behind the wheel of a great DSLR camera;)
